Rebecca's Story

“I was only 21 when my mum died, but I do remember going to the hospice… we were just delighted that the Ayrshire Hospice could also support my sister in the way that they did.”

Both mother and daughter, Zoe and Natasha McNicol, were cared for by the Ayrshire Hospice after receiving life-shortening diagnoses. Years apart, their experiences were linked by the same kindness, compassion and expert care.

When Natasha became ill, Specialist Palliative Care Nurse Mandy supported her at home, bringing comfort, peace of mind and reassurance to the whole family. After their mum’s death, Natasha poured her heart into fundraising for the Hospice - a legacy her family proudly continues today.
