Why......

Tuesday 14th Jul
I won't lie I didn't know much about Ayrshire Hospice until recently.  When someone suggested I reach out to them for help & guidance when I as a parent admitted I was feeling out of my depth.   I felt like my daughter was loosing herself in grief so deep from loosing her gran., her reading buddy, her best friend.    Struggling to navigate all of her feelings & emotions, not fully understanding how to express them.   Trying to control her anxiety, which spiralled anytime she was leaving me.  All to much for a thoughtful kind 10yr old.
But with there weekly help Freya is slowly starting to communicate, say out loud feelings she felt she had to hide, to big for her wee heart.   Accepting our new normal.    Feeling more comfortable being away from me, learning to control her anxiety.   I am seeing that sparkle starting to come back into her eyes.

So we are taking part in there 5km Waggy Tail Walk, at Eglinton Park.   To help raise funds so they can keep helping & supporting youngsters, adults & families struggling with loss & the stages of grief.
So please sponsor us.....
